Oh my God what was I thinking?!?! After Saturday's race I feel like I have been beaten up!
It was all going so well until the rain came down... soaked to the skin, bruised stung by nettles, cuts from brambles and close to exhausted we crossed the finish line in 4 hours 38 minutes with a grand total of 425 points putting us 18th out of the 41 teams in our class. We covered 8.5km on the run (5 miles) 2km on canoe (1.5 miles) and 25.5km on Bike (16 miles).
I reckon I'll be good for a 10km run on the treadmill by tomorrow evening
Next stop - The Great North Run in September
